Why stop at Foxy’s Taboo and hike to the Bubbly Pools on Jost Van Dyke during your boat trip to the BVI?
We’ll let the picture do the talking:
The small hike to the Bubbly Pools with a stop at Foxy’s Taboo for lunch could be an ideal excursion on your boat day in the British Virgin Islands with Aqua Blue Charters.
Ask your Captain if the Bubbly Pools will be a good idea on your chartered boat day in the BIV – the bubbles come from waves crashing through rocks on the north shore of Jost Van Dyke. If the waves are too small, there won’t be any bubbles. If they are too big, it’s not safe for you to be in the pool.
Here is a preview of what your day will be like. After clearing customs, we’ll head to Sandy Spit. This tiny, perfect island is everything you could want on a deserted tropical island. Gorgeous white sand, Caribbean blue waters, a few palm trees and not much else. Enjoy your first swim of the day, circumnavigate the island on foot and relax in the shallows.
Next, it’s a short boat ride to Foxy’s Taboo. We’ll dock and head into the restaurant to decide what we want for lunch. Pro tip: Order your lunch before you take the short hike to the Bubbly Pools. This will make sure you have your food quickly once you return from your hike. Choose from BVI beach bar staples like burgers and fish or enjoy one of their kebabs. They also have some great vegetarian menu items. From there, we’ll start our hike to the Bubbly Pools. It’s a mellow walk along the flats between Jost Van Dyke and Little Jost Van Dyke and along a mangrove salt pond.
A dirt path over a hill brings you back down to the water and the Bubbly Pool. By the time you’re done enjoying this natural rock jacuzzi, you’ll be ready for lunch. We’ll hike back to Foxy’s Taboo and our food should be ready for us as we sit and get our drinks.
Remember, this is your day on the water in your private boat charter. If at any time, you would like to change your plans, just let your captain know! We want you to have the best day ever when boating around the Virgin Islands.
